The space under the kitchen sink can be just as bad as the Tupperware cabinet. Often times things are blindly thrown in until you have bottles and rags strewn all over the place. I knew I wanted to get a handle on this area in our kitchen.
The first thing you’ll notice is the tension rod my husband put under the sink. This is a great help because it clears up floor space by hanging
your bottled cleaners here.
The basket on the right holds all of the cleaners that can’t hang. The middle basket holds all or our cloths. The basket in the left holds all of the dish washing supplies.
The trash bags and dishwasher tablets are behind the baskets, but still easily within reach.
If there’s one thing you can do under your kitchen sink to help wrangle the mess, a tension rod is an easy option!

My favorite blog, along with other organizing blogs, is hosting a month long organizing link party! I was so excited to see this because I’ve wanted to share my favorite organized space in my home!
Introducing my “Command Station”!
When we built our home, we decided to choose the floorplan we wanted and keep the upgrades to a minimum in order to control the cost. One of the few upgrades I was adamant about getting was the desk space in the kitchen since we wouldn’t be choosing a floorplan with a den or office.
This space has been a life saver. In the upper cabinets we keep all of our cookbooks and Scentsy supplies. On the shelf below I have two rectangular baskets from Thirty One. In these we keep chargers, my labeler, and planner supplies. We also keep our change jar here too.
In the slots below the large shelf from left to right I keep my couponing and shopping supplies, mailing supplies, magazines, bills that are paid, and finally bills that need paid. On the desk itself we keep our home management binder, budgeting binder with printables from A Bowl Full of Lemons, my husband’s home brewing binder, writing utensils, our tearaway calendar, my toddler’s arts and craft supplies, and the printer. The drawers contain our office supplies and the large drawer holds hanging file folders with important documents.
Next to the desk we have a hanging organizer from Thirty One. It holds a calendar, our weekly cleaning checklist, event tickets and gift cards, a dry erase space, and a pocket for each family member to keep items we may need.
I’m very proud of this space and how it has helped us to remain organized and in control of our clutter.
